Martini Coffee Roasters (“Martini Coffee,” “we,” “us”) is a coffee roaster and Kyoto-style cold brew producer based in Chicago, Illinois. This policy explains what information we collect when you browse martinicoffee.com, place an order, or get in touch, and what we do with it.

It covers this website and our related pages, including our checkout at shop.martinicoffee.com and our wholesale ordering portal at b2b.martinicoffee.com. Checkout is hosted by Shopify, so Shopify’s own privacy practices apply there in addition to ours.

Information you give us

Contact form

Your name, email address, company (optional), the topic you select, and your message.

Orders & subscriptions

Your name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if you provide one, what you ordered, delivery notes, and your subscription frequency. This is collected through Shopify when you check out.

Wholesale & bar programs

The business details you send us — venue, volume, format, and pricing needs — so we can quote the right program.

Email and phone

Whatever you choose to include when you write or call us directly.

Information collected automatically

One functional cookie

We set a single cookie, mcr_cart_id, which stores an anonymous cart identifier so your bag survives page loads. It is HTTP-only, expires after 30 days, and does nothing else. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Server logs

Our host records standard request data — IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, timestamps, and the referring page. We use it for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic counts.

Shopify cookies

Shopify sets its own cookies on our store and checkout pages to keep your cart, maintain your session, and screen for fraud.

What we never collect

We do not see or store your payment card details. Card information goes directly from you to Shopify and its payment processors.

We also do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on martinicoffee.com. There is no Google Analytics, no ad pixel, and no data broker script on this site.

• To fill, ship, and support your orders, and to manage subscription deliveries.
• To send transactional messages — order confirmations, shipping notices, subscription reminders, and replies to your questions.
• To answer inquiries and put together wholesale and bar program quotes.
• To keep the site running, secure, and free of spam and fraudulent orders.
• To meet our tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.
• With your permission, to send occasional news about new roasts and releases. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (orders and subscriptions), our legitimate interests (running and securing the site, answering inquiries), your consent (marketing email), and compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

The only cookie this site sets on its own is the cart cookie described above. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time — clearing mcr_cart_id simply empties your bag.

Because we do not track you across other websites, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change what we collect. There is no behavioral advertising profile here to opt out of.

Accountants and attorneys, under confidentiality obligations.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets — in which case we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• Order and payment records: as long as needed for fulfillment, warranty, accounting, and tax purposes — generally seven years for financial records.
• Website inquiries: while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward, so we have context if you come back to us.
• Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs: a short rolling window kept by our host for security and debugging.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless we are legally required to keep it.

The site is served over TLS, our cart cookie is HTTP-only, access to customer records is limited to the people who need it, and payment data never touches our systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you share with us.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, get a copy of it, or stop sending you marketing. Email info@martinicoffee.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity, and we aim to respond within 45 days.

California residents

Under the CCPA/CPRA we collect the categories described above: identifiers, customer records, commercial information, and internet activity. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing — though as noted, we do neither. We will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Other U.S. states

If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana — you have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and you may appeal a decision by replying to our response.

EEA and UK residents

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email info@martinicoffee.com and we will delete it.

Our cocktail recipes and bar program content are intended for adults of legal drinking age. Our products themselves are coffee, and contain no alcohol.

Links out

Our recipe and partner pages sometimes link to other sites. We don't control them, and their privacy policies govern what they collect.

We are based in the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed here.

Changes to this policy

We'll post any update on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we'll say so clearly rather than quietly revise.
